1000 posts. Really. We are stunned. As we have said before, we started the original website because we were grieving for the loss of our wonderful Nikita and wanted to record a few memories of her. We thought a few friends might visit, but who knew there was this whole world of dog bloggers out there that would actually follow our stories – and whom we would follow as we got to know their dogs. Thank you all for following our stories and sending us your comments and emails. All we have to say is . . . . . 1000 more.
And even more amazing – nearly 18,000 comments have been posted on this blog. Fair enough, actually many, many more, but we delete the spammers with a vengeance, so 18,000 real people comments. And what we found was how many of those comments came from people that also believed in animal rescue. Animal charities. Animal causes. So we could think of no better way to celebrate our 1000th post than to pick a random commenter and send $50 to their favorite animal charity. One More Day. Post your comment. Name your charity. Nice that Joplin has so many votes, but they’ve gotten lots of donations of both money and supplies (over $20,000 worth of supplies from their Amazon Registry last I heard!) There are so many other shelters that are also in need.
