Just a little movie magic of how we do our jobs.

We had a lot of fun during our weekend of camping, but it is time to get back to home.

To us, this is about the perfect welcome home - horses and cows greeting us.

Even if some of those cows were glaring at us as we passed.

Not like they didn't have enough grass to eat.

I mean, this guy is knee deep in food.

I mean, after all, my bowl always seems to be empty. Lucky cows.

Every now and then, it is wise to count noses on the picket line.

Getting a good count? Yes, there are eight on the line.

A little different angle to see if you can spot who has joined us.

That's right, Tartok and Ruby have joined us for the camping weekend. Always good to hang out with your cousins.

P.S. – To answer a couple of questions from yesterday, a picket line is simply a tie out for multiple dogs. Our particular picket line has “drops” for 10, though we use that mainly for spacing.  There are a number of good supplies, but ours comes from Alpine Outfitters (click here and go about half way down the page to find them).  And, for the record, we do not receive any compensation from them and bought our picket line just like anyone else would.  We just like to share when we find a company we enjoy.

Well, I might be protesting that my dinner bowl is empty.

But on this kind of picket line, we are supposed to look good and styling.

Or look for bugs walking by.

Most of all, we are supposed to have fun!

Yes, we are off on a long weekend of RVing with The Herd. Nothing like a weekend of kicking back, long hikes, and general relaxation. We will be sure to post any great stories from our camping adventures, so stay tuned.

It has been raining day after day here.

So I have basically become a couch potato.

Of course, I have to sometimes look all royal and regal to impress my Herd.

It's tough being Queen.

With a guard dog like me on duty, these rope toys are totally safe.

The weather here Sunday was rain. Steady, cold, non-stop rain. A bored Herd is, well, a challenge, and so we kept inventing games throughout the day.

One of those games you will see later this week – “Pick Your Future Food.” As we mentioned a week or so ago, we are having to choose a new food because of a dog food recall. We have narrowed the choices to Acana, Fromm, and Orijen and have been rotating those three foods to see which one The Herd prefers. To say the choice is close is an understatement.

So, in our rain induced boredom, we set up a trial of 3 bowls of food, release one member of The Herd at a time, and then video the results for everyone to see. As they say, film at 11. Or Wednesday or Thursday depending on how quickly we get the video edits done.
