Ready to Go

Natasha

The Queen has done a head count to make sure every pup is in the Jeep.

Kiska

Kiska has found the perfect spot to keep her hair from blowing in the wind.

Rusty

The Jeep is loaded, hu-dad. Let's go!

Waiting on the Hu-Dad

Natasha Jeep Waiting

Those humans are always off doing things.

While we are waiting patiently.

Ok, maybe not so patiently, but we are waiting.

One Final Look Back

Kiska Natasha RV camping

Kiska and Natasha are looking back on our beach vacation. Uh, Natasha, what are you doing?

Kiska Natasha RV Camping

Take Two - Kiska and Natasha are looking back on our beach vacation. Ok, fine, they are searching for the feral cats in the woods.

Sunset beach

Fine, we will just look back and remember our evening walks and the sunsets.

Heavy Artillery

Kiska and artillery

Kiska seems to be thinking of some great ways she could use this cannon.

Can you imagine what these two can do with heavy artillery?

Walking on the Beach

What would a beach week be without a video of the dogs at the beach, particularly a video of Frankie with his first ever impression of the ocean? Hope you enjoy.

Camping Neighbors

We really like Huntington Beach State Park for a number of reasons, but one of those is the wide, spacious campsites.  As you can imagine, when you are traveling with a number of dogs, it is great to have a little room between RV’s so everyone can enjoy their vacation.  Still, you will always notice what your neighbors are doing.

One of our many neighbors in the campground.

Though we really do not think that Natasha is bird watching this intently.

This feral cat seems to be the object of her attention.

Not sure who, but someone had set out some food for one of the feral cats who lives in the area.  The Herd was very distracted by these particular neighbors.

The Faces of Natasha

Can you believe how innocent and pure she can look?

How about demure?

Fine - How about demanding and bossy?

Yes, all of these pictures were taken within minutes of each other. Apparently, the flash disturbed Her Highness and she demanded to go outside for some peace and quiet.

Shadow Shot Sunday – The Oops

Rusty, look, the hu-dad thinks he is just getting a picture of us and does not realize that his shadow is in the picture.

Let's both point at it and laugh so it's obvious.

Intensity

Our weather continues to be unseasonably warm.  In fact, we still have not had any measurable snow fall, very late compared to any year we can remember.  But the gorgeous weather (well, not gorgeous by Siberian standards, but the humans seem to like it) sure makes for a terrific long weekend.  We were running errands and the hu-dad was giving us a water break when Natasha went in to her “I want that right now” stare.

Intensity

That stare is very hard to ignore and she did not move at all despite the offers of water, the hu-dad getting out his camera, and the hu-dad taking pictures of her.  So what had her attention?  The easiest way to figure that out is to use her ears to line up the scene.

Using the ears as a target finder.

Can you see it?  The object of her focus?  Well, let’s zoom in a little and see if we can figure things out.

Bullseye. Or is that Catseye?

Somehow, we do not think that Natasha has the “Zim-like” qualities of, well, Zim.  But the cat sure seemed to understand that The Herd was safely seat belted into the Jeep.

Muddy Paws

Some pup, who likes to stand on the console in the Jeep beside the driver, apparently had muddy paws.

We could not find any witnesses to this event.

No witnesses. Got it?
