Traveling together as a Herd, we attract many interesting people. In fact, we once met a movie star who was in one of the most quoted movie scenes ever.  But it is not often that we get a guest photographer!

While traveling on the Blue Ridge Parkway, we met Meryl Meyer who owns Portrait of My Pet.  She emailed some photographs she took to the hu-dad.  With her permission, we are sharing her wonderful pictures of us.

peanut butter at vets

Kiska here to tell you how you can have peanut butter at the vets

After our post yesterday, several of you asked how you could have peanut butter at your vet visit.  We take you back to a post we did last fall that explained how it is actually in our medical records that we get peanut butter.  Honest.  Doctor’s orders.  We will wait while you go read that post – and then we will tell you something funny about Monday.

Ok, you back?  Good.  So now you know that we get peanut butter on a spatula while the good doctor does all the poking and prodding.  But did you know that you are not supposed to steal the spatula?  Really.  They have rules about that and everything.  And, who, you might ask, among us would actually try to steal the spatula.

entrapment.

With a jury of my canine peers, I would never be convicted. Entrapment, I tell you, entrapment.

regular vet visits

Monday, we had regular vet visits for a number of us.

Special item

Cheoah and Qannik both know what special item is always present at the vet.

peanut butter

I see the peanut butter, but can not quite reach it.

still cant reach

Can’t reach it from this angle either.

equipment

Guess I have to wait until they start using the stuff like this before I get peanut butter.

wait

Silly kids. If we just wait, we will get peanut butter.

long weekend

Hey, hu-dad, I have an idea. Let’s load up the RV and take off for a long weekend!

Cheesewhiz RV Face

Then we get the official Cheesewhiz RV Face!

Kiska has a terrific idea for the weekend, so we are loading up the RV and taking off to Big Ridge State Park near Knoxville, Tennessee. Besides, someone has a birthday tomorrow and we will be celebrating that. We promise pictures from our adventures!

tall weeds

I am scared to go out in the really tall weeds.

tall

Seriously, hu-dad, this grass is getting ridiculously tall.

see

Do you really not want to be able to see what I am up to?

With all of the bad weather the last couple of weeks, grass mowing Sibe Quentin has been subject to a rain delay. Sunday was finally the perfect, sunny day, so we insisted that he harvest – er, mow.

walk

Look, everyone, we can actually walk without being tickled.

orange flag

I am so glad the hu-dad did not carry out his threat to tie an orange flag to my tail so he could monitor me.

Over the last two days, we have had over two inches (50 mm) of steady, cold rain. Yesterday, we showed you pictures of a wet Herd outside, but, of course, the dogs spent most of the weekend inside. In front of the fireplace.

Unfortunately, every venture outside meant that a new set of towels were needed get dry enough to come back inside.  Let’s look at the faces of joy when being faced with the towel procedures.

Qannik's towels

Come on, hu-dad, just because I like to sit in the rain and soak it up.

Not enough

There are not enough towels made to get me totally dry.

The Queen forgot the one dog at a time rule and rushed towel security.
