Sometimes, you just need a serious posing session for the camera. We were on one of our favorite rock outcroppings resting from a hike when we took these pictures of Cheoah mugging for the camera.

The curse of being the youngest - you get assigned the bear bell to wear.
For some reason, I am getting the reputation as a dog who appreciates his leisure.
Oh, sure, I might like a pillow under my head for napping.
But make no mistake, even while upside down, I am a fine example of a working breed.
Now scratch me, human, while I work this cuteness.
Or, better yet, serve me breakfast in bed.

So that boy behind me was acting all cute with his paw hanging out of the crate and everyone posted notes feeling sorry for him.
But looking at him, he is always into some sort of mischief like chewing on his seat belt, which earns him riding time in the crate.
Unlike us well behaved pups who get to ride outside of their crates in the Jeep.
Wait a minute. Since when did Natasha become the standard of well behaved?
That, dear Q-tip, just proves that everything is relative.
The humans are sitting inside a Mexican restaurant, leaving me in the Jeep.
I don't care that my brothers and sisters are curled up in the Jeep sleeping and that the humans are sitting inside taking pictures of me, I am going to work my stare on them.
Wow, those humans are tough.
Nobody Knows The Trouble I've Seen
Well, somebody knows, which might explain my current situation.
Yes, yes, yes. Long time readers will know we have done this joke before, but, then again, Siberian Husky owners know that this joke is done over and over and over and over and . . .

Is this a look a pure innocence or what?
What do you mean nobody believes that?
A weird mix of a scene from our field if you look closely (don't worry, we will point it out in the next two pictures).
To the left, the very last snow we could spot at our neighbors, Cataloochee Ski.
And, to the right, a few of the horses grazing in the green fields of Cataloochee Ranch.
Oh, well, at least spring means lots of hiking on our favorite trails.
P.S. – And the other thing about spring in the mountains (ok, well any time in the mountains) – the weather is very unpredictable. The pictures above were taken just before lunch Sunday. Here it is at 7:30 pm Sunday evening and the temperature is hovering at freezing and a mix of rain, snow and sleet is falling. The weatherman had warned of a chance of snow showers tonight, so no telling what we will actually get. Maybe that little patch of snow has a little more life in it. (Before anyone asks, we have seen snow here into May).
There we were, out for a normal walk.
When some puppy went way off-trail.

Oh, sorry. Got distracted.
And so we continued along our normal walk.
Sometimes, we are taking pictures and just become mesmerized with the beauty of the eyes of a dog.
Both of Cheoah's eyes are "parti-eyes" - the left half blue and half brown and the right a brown eye with a single blue dot (Click the picture to enlarge).
Mr. Frankie "Brown Eyes" wanted to get into this conversation, but struggles with distance from the camera.
