Some of you might have heard that our (that would be Ruby's and Tartok's) mom - The Herd's hu-grandmom - is off on some vacation involving some Iditarod thing and will be back later this week.
We have photographic evidence that our mom was actually giving scratches to a different red head - some Casey from Karen Ramstead's Iditarod team.
But I believe I am the only red head that mom should give scratches to.
Just wanted you to know we miss you mom - and that has nothing to do with that plate of food in front of you.
Awww! It’s OK, Ruby, she still loves you, and she’ll be home soon.
Don’t you worry that pretty red head, Ruby. Your hu-mom may have scratched another set of ears, but you are always in her heart.

Well, it’s nice to see there’s a nice snow pack somewhere. I bet it’s exciting being at the Iditarod!
I hope it is clearly understood that she is returning with LOTS of goodies for you…salmon and other delicacies of the far north!
