The Herd sightseeing by walking down the Battery in Charleston, SC.

P.S. – Yes, the hu-dad was wearing his goofy hat as you can see in the shadows, but he was NOT wearing his camouflage socks with sandals.

Cheoah - My hole, Rusty, go find your own.

Now THIS is how to be enthusiastic about your work (while Rusty complains that he was playing there).

No worries, Rusty, plenty of beach to dig your own hole.

We have lots and lots to tell you about our Monday at the beach, but, frankly, we are worn out pups and headed to bed. We will share all of our stories with you in later posts – including our encounter with CRABS! Until then, Cheesewhiz wanted to say that she really enjoyed meeting up with our friends, Kody and Nia (oh, yeah, and their humans David and Linda).  She has expressed before why she likes meeting David, but let’s be clear about his special skill:

A little lower please, oh Master of the Bellyrub.

Perfect, perfect . . .

Wait a minute, mister, you don't think you are done yet, do you?

Saturday's storms passed and we were greeted with the rising sun Sunday morning.

So we were off for a little early morning stroll in the surf.

Kiska - It's the ocean. No one will notice a little pee break, will they?

Whoa. That wave was a little higher than expected.

No one is going to say a word about this, will you?

We travel for 6 hours in the RV, and the beach is all stormy like this.

Not that a little rain slowed us down at all from walking the beach.

Hu-dad says busyness has been totally crazy for months, so he is calling a time-out.  He says we need to go do something different. Wonder what he has in mind? Here are your hints for where we are headed this week.

Here is your first hint - Cheesewhiz RV Face!

We certainly plan to hang out a lot like this.

We will probably do some of this.

We certainly plan to breathe deeply.

Oh yeah - and lots and lots of this.

Ok, those may be more than hints, but we are so looking forward to posting remotely.  (By the way, hu-dad also says he plans to catch up on blog reading because he is way, way, way, way behind.  Sorry for being so AWOL on commenting).

In less than two months, this hill will be covered in snow and skiers.

Check out how our favorite tree is already developing bright red leaves.

With our cold nights, red leaves can be seen all over our mountains.

And not just red - yellow leaves.

But there are also plenty of blooms remaining in our fall.

So fun to hike and see all of the colors.

The pleasures of hikes in our woods.

Colors of all shades.

Hope you enjoy the colors too.

Nothing like a good Jeep ride to create Kiska smiles.

Wind in your hair - Woooo!

Hu-dad said that we should wish his sister a very happy birthday.  So, Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday, Auntie!

Ever have one of those days where the crate door swings open and you just decide to stay put.

Don't get me wrong. There are days to jump up and grab the day - or, as I say, grab the Kodiak by his neck (grins).

But today feels like a stay in the crate day. What do you think?
