Long Lost Sisters – Part III

We have shared this theory twice before – here and here – but we always wonder whether Ruby and Cheoah are long-lost sisters.  Both were found abandoned in the same town and have many similar markings and mannerisms.  During a hike on Sunday, we happened to have one of those moments that made us wonder again.

What do you think?

Don't these two look so much like sisters?

Ok, granted, that Ruby sit may be a little hard to replicate.

Yes! They do very much so. Do they always hang out together on a walk?

How is Rusty the Rooster these days?

You can tell if dogs are related by looking at them. If you know them well, especially, you can see similar features. And if you know the parents, you can also see the pups in them. Just like with people.

Wouldn’t that be cool if they were siblings. Both abandoned and then brought back together again. Although, who in their right mind would ever abandon a pet anyway!

They definitely look alike. Can you DNA test them? I know you can do that to find out the breed for mix dogs. But it’d be cool if the kits could match their DNA. :)

I second the DNA testing. Heck it is available through Petco here so it can’t cost that much to do! You guys should as they look like twins, definitely!

They certainly do look a lot alike. Do they share the same Ruby love of food?

Amazing how similar they look. I would be shocking if they weren’t considering they were both from the same town. DNA will tell the facts!!!
They are both so darn beautiful!!!

It looks like they like to “hang” together, too, like there is a bond there. That’s like me’n my Dad (Ice). Even though Ice IS my Dad, he was 6 years old when our hu-Mom & Dad brough him home to live with us too, because he was finished with his show-dog life, and just wanted a “forever home” where he could be loved and spoiled. Well, now we are inseparable, and even when we go back out to the kennel where we were born, we play with the rest of the Sibes, but we still hang together most. (Ayla)

Even sisters have to have a few unique traits of their own. I really do tend to believe that they are sisters! Have you thought about doing one of those DNA tests just for fun?

It could be possible, and how cool would that be?

They do seem to have lots physically in common. It is cool to ponder whether their familial connection brought to them both to a place where they could reunited again.
