Kodiak did not study as hard as he should have for the Scent Tracking final exam.

GQ Rusty

Hu-dad says something about ignore the nose art on the windows and the giant hair-bl-weeds on the floor.

Besides, it is Rusty the Rooster photo shoot time and all eyes will be on me.

I am quite the pro at all of the relaxed poses.

Even the proud and regal pose.

This one I learned from that expert model - Khyra.

Ah - the rough life of a good looking model.

Ruby Tuesday – Tartok Time

Every week, we show you pictures of our visit to The Thundering Herd Annex and show you Ruby’s various sneaky ways of snarfing food.  So how can this week’s pictures be any different?  Well, there was strawberry shortcake.  And a certain well-behaved gentleman is a fan of strawberries.

Whoa. Are those strawberries?

So I will just sit here patiently waiting on a strawberry offering.

Or . . . not so patiently.

Scratching the Itch

A paw can be quite effective in hitting that isolated itch.

And those humans might be pretty effective if you can guide their skritches to the correct spot.

But sometimes you just have that whole body itch that needs to be addressed.

Then you need to be just a little more creative so that you can scratch one whole side of your body at a time.

At that point, it helps to have a house built with rough cedar siding.

Ahhhhhhh - that was perfect!

The Queen as Princess

Queen Natasha the Evil - ok, this was Princess Natasha the Pain.

We were organizing some older photographs and saw this one.  Just thought we would share.  Consider it Flashback Friday on Saturday.

Higher Ground

Our weather this week has been cloudy and rainy.

We will not really complain.

But we might seek higher ground.

Tartok Thursday

Tartok, from across the valley at The Herd Annex, says that his sister, Ruby, gets entirely too much attention.  So, today, Tartok wants to demonstrate all of the strenuous activities that he engages in as a prime representative of a Working Dog Breed.  Ready?

We start out with the complex Table Leg Paw Hook.

The ever so difficult "rub my belly" pose.

The neck hook.

How to stop a paw from over-scratching.

In between these challenging exercises, you must remember to relax your muscles.

Even while eating, Tartok demonstrates his physical prowess.

Remember, I am a professional working dog. Don't try this at home.

Oh, good grief. At least I am actually moving when I am counter surfing. - Ruby

Walking Wednesday – Red Head Style

Pretend it is Sesame Street. Who doesn't match in this picture?

That would be black and white Tartok on the outside lane with red-heads Ruby, Cheoah and Kodiak.

Rusty says sorry for missing the first picture. He was involved in a very important pee-mail.
