Rusty and Cheoah think the sign says it all.

Yes, we do think we have a wonderful life and that is why we want to share a little with our 1000th Post Contest (full details here).  As we expected, the competition is heating up.  As we said, the winner will be selected by drawing, so the most votes does not guarantee a winner, but it sure does help.  And do we have a race heating up.  The vote count as of about 9 pm (EDT) last night:

  1. It is indeed a wonderful life. We’re counting our blessings here on the coast – no tornados, no floods, just a lot of rain & a little sunshine now & then. We donated to the Joplin Humane society tonight, so I guess that will be our daily submission.

  2. This group is awesome – in 2 years they’ve saved 250 huskies, far surpassing their original goal. And many of their dogs were sick or terminal, or had such severe behavioral problems that even the so-called “no kill” shelters didn’t know what to do with them. Love this group!!! And since they operate on a shoestring budget, every little cent counts!

  3. We are grateful for the human and dog friends we have made because of Tails of the Tundra Siberian Husky Rescue.

  4. Shout out to Dawne and Southern Siberian Rescue! Do they get bonus votes because they are in NC with woo??

  5. That sign really nails it! I’m voting for the Joplin Humane Society tonight.
