Foto Friday – The Christmas Version

Has Cheoah been naughty or nice?

Red Team Formation

Here is the red team in formation. Wait, where is our missing member?

Long time readers know exactly where Rusty the Rooster is.

He is walking in his favorite position.

Why would anyone think this is not normal?

Did Cheoah Snow Slide?

Apparently, a number of our regular readers asked where were the pictures of me, Cheoah, doing my patented snow slide.

I am a grown up girl this winter so I just daintily catch snow flakes on my tongue.

Ok, ok, maybe I do have to let my belly enjoy the cold snow, but I really am not addicted. Honest.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

It feels so good.

I am so ashamed.

Hi. My name is Cheoah. I am a snow-slide-aholic.

Ruby Tuesday – High Energy

We understand our cousins across the valley at The Thundering Herd were out hiking in the snow.  With a roaring fire in the hu-grandmom’s fireplace, we would like to show you what The Herd Annex was doing:

Tartok demonstrating the Siberian doughnut.

Ruby thinks this couch could be a little more comfortable, but it will do.

Snowy Sunday

Our sleet on Saturday changed over to snow.

A first casualty of winter - a tree across one of our fire roads.

Walking up our driveway (yes, we have Christmas wreaths on the driveway fence).

Black and white team in tight formation.

Red and white team - in a not quite so tight formation.

Sleeting Saturday

Remember last Monday when we were showing you the view on a clear day?

Yesterday was a very different day with clouds, fog, sleet, cold and wind, so you can not see the distance ranges to the left of our favorite tree.

But you can see that Cataloochee Ski is now skiing about 3/4 of the mountain.

Cheoah and Kodiak don't care about the views - just the wrestling time.

Behind His Back

Our hu-dad likes to show all of those pictures of us walking in a straight line in front of him. But, frankly, that is hurting our reputation, and we want to dispel that well-behaved myth. Take the picture below as an example. We are sitting on a hill enjoying the view, but just behind the hu-dad’s back . . .

Wrestle time!

Foto Friday

We like the concept of Foto (Photo) Friday that we have seen on a few blogs, so this makes the second week in a row that we have done this.  Who knows if  we will continue it.  We are Sibes.  Rules mean nothing to us.

Anyway, we told you on Wednesday how the hu-dad was waiting on the setting sun and just happened to capture a perfect series of pictures of Queen Natasha the Evil being Evil.  For those who asked, no, there was no blood drawn.  That was just her style of a warning.  And rest assured that all of The Herd hears the warning and gets out of the Queen’s way.

Yesterday, we showed you the attempts to get a picture of Qannik.  The hu-dad barely knows Photo Shop, so he does not really know how to take the intruders out of those pictures.  He promises to learn some day.

So that brings us to today – Foto Friday.  We were enjoying watching the sun set over the mountain ranges and realized what a beautiful color was being cast on the dogs.  We took several photos, but loved the colors cast on Q’s white coat.  We know we need to do some Photoshopping to the picture, but see that previous paragraph where the hu-dad knows so little about the software.

Have a great weekend!

Sun setting over the distant ranges.

Q with sunset hues.

(Im)posing Qannik

Hey, Qannik, do you mind giving us a big smile and posing for a quick photograph for the blog?

Uh, Natasha, this was just for the Q-tip. And, besides, you have dirt all over your nose and chin.

Kiska, we really do not need your nose in the frame either. Q is trying to pose.

Natasha, really, can you move your furry behind out of the frame?

Sisters - pfffffffft!
