When we refer to Queen Natasha the Evil, inevitably a couple of readers will post that they do not see the Evil we refer to. It is hard for us to describe how she runs her pack with an iron paw, but every now and then, we capture a moment on film that helps explain her nickname. This series of pictures were taken on Sunday in a rapid fire sequence (we were actually looking for some shadows from the setting sun, but more on that later this week). We give you – Queen Natasha the Evil.
Now, does that look like a peaceful picture? Really? Look carefully (biggefy if you want by double clicking on the picture). Notice Natasha’s lip curl. The next two pictures were taken in sport setting, so the gap between pictures is less than a second. Can you move as fast as Rusty after hearing the warning growl above?
Rusty’s offense, you ask? We think he was trying to breathe some of the Queen’s air. Just saying.

Boys!
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
Oh WOW!!! I had a foster dog or two like that…there is only so much air to go around!
She’s the Queen!!!
Well, he WAS in her space. And girls do rule!
Holly
Queen to Rusty: “i’m just sayin’”. Just a little limit setting…:-)
Oh dear! She does have an evil look in her eye before she ever turns her attention from the distance to poor Rusty!
Y’all have to live with that?
I’ll stay an only dog thank you.
Hawk aka BrownDog
I recognize that snarl…I think our Queen Harley and your Queen Natasha went to the same Iron Paw Academy! And now I-Can-Only-Dream-of-Being-Queen Bandit is trying very, very hard to get herself into that school!
Go Rusty, for your very quick reflexes!
Oh man, Natasha, oh Queen, I bow before you!
I only have two now, but when I had four I loved watching the pack dynamics at play. Most of the time. Shelby was very evil to Claire until Claire learned to be like Rusty. Made me sad, really. Claire had been top girl before then.
Now there are just the two and Maddox bosses Shelby around but never with lip curls. He is lucky she is so easy going but once, he had a biscuit he’d been hoarding and I was in the kitchen, Shelby walked into the bedroom, I heard a kerfluffle and went to investigate and Shelby was sitting in the little bathroom on the rug. Mean ol’ Maddox! He wouldn’t let her into my room–THAT I did not abide by, needless to say. Got that sorted fast.
And there you have it: a Queen’s whim. Hopefully, in the future, Rusty will remember to stay out of the queen’s personal space.
YIKES! Queen Natasha is skeery! Our little Lucy is our Queen. Calhoun is an easy going King of the house but if someone gets too close to Lucy, her food, or she just isn’t willing to put up with any junk- like breathing- it gets ugly. She’s our smallest too so I suppose she has to have the iron paw!
The Heartbeats
Poor Rusty…..What a big mouth you have QNTE! Rusty the Queen needs her space …. move to the other side of the Jeep it will be safer … maybe!!
Licks & Nibbles,
Kody & Nia
Picking on Rusty?! That’s just not right!
Max rules over here! Well, Baby allows him to think he rules her (she is big mama after all), Peanut is a daddys girl, and Buddy, well Buddy is usually breathing Max’s air.
Great capture! Poor Rusty. Now I see how evil the Queen can be! I’ve been one of the doubters in the past…
When the queen is happy, there is peace in the kingdom!! We know, because Molly’s the same way!
Woofs and Kisses!
The Fiesty Three
Bow before your queen!!!
Sonic
Wow, I bet Natasha could eat one of those Dagwood Bumstead sandwiches in one bite!
Oh my! The Queen reminds me of our Diva, Halle, who took over our Pack the SECOND she arrived last January! Halle is also a benevolent, but firm, ruler of the little 4-leggers in our house!
Wow. We are a fousand miles away and the Bleu is under the bed! I’m very impressed, QNTE!
Wif love from the Luke
She doesn’t waste any time just nipping either, does she. Goes for the throat on the first lunge. She probably heard how everyone LOVES Rusty the Rooster the furry best of all, thats probably what is eating her!
Kisses,
Stella
I think Lilly has a touch of the queen in her. You would NOT believe how ornery she is to poor Ginko sometimes.
I’ll hear him crying, crying in a room somewhere, and when I go to see what’s up, I often find that he is just upset that Lilly won’t let him out of the room.
That is how Bella, the resident alpha female, treats me. She puts the visiting pups in their place very quickly. She and I have an understanding, I don’t breath her air, she does not bit my neck. But visiting fosters take a few minutes to learn the rules. That can be a noisy few minutes sometimes.
Mogley G. Retriever
Hey, heed & obey or suffer the consequences! That’s life in the pack!
jack a-roo & miss moo
That was awesome!
Hey, I do the same thing to Bali, does that mean I have to add Evil to my name?
Mochi
hahahahaha
great action shots! you show him who’s boss!
Im sure he was doing some dumb boy thing

Hugs xoxoxo
Sammie and Avalon
Poor Rusty, I think I will send Remy over there and let Natasha give him a proper whopin. She would enjoy that and so would I.
Flash
Looks like she got mad at him for sticking his snooter out a tad farther than hers:)
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
You gotta love how our Queens keep order…you can’t just let ANYONE breathe your air all the time, then there’s none left you YOU! The apres-snarl is a look Her Royal Highness Queen Ra has also perfected…the other kids have learned how long they have to get out of the way.
Nothing wrong with ruling with an iron paw!
Gosh, Natasha – my heart is thumping with fright just looking at those photos!
Has it ever happened that someone hasn’t got out of the way in time??
Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
Poor Rusty! I guess you don’t mess with the Queen!
take care
Clive and Murray
Boy, I thought she LIKED Rusty… I guess Evil doesn’t distinguish between loving and bossin’…
Poor Natasha, I so understand your pain. I, too, am mislabelled simply because the world is not yet ready for strong women in positions of power. One day, Sister, they WILL thank us!
Count me on Natasha’s side. With six Sibes, someone has to be in charge. Great photographs.
Poor Rusty…..we feel bad for you! What big mouth you have Queen N….
Whoa! That’s some chomp!!
Whoa! That’s quite a chomp!!! Did she draw blood or was it just an “over-stated” warning?
Does anyone else try to run interference or is it every pup for himself?
Hugs to Rusty!
That sure is the right way to put someone in his place!
Ooops!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
Poor Rusty! He looks totally blindsided. Those are some just-the-right-second photos! I bet you were pretty happy to have had your camera ready for those shots.
