Dawn in the mountains. The distant mountain peaks rise above the valley fog below. Sunday appears to be as blue and clear as Saturday was.

But as we walked through our field past our favorite tree, something looked different.

Remember that Cataloochee Ski was busy making snow Saturday morning?

The skiers and snowboarders were enjoying all of that snow.

Unfortunately, our field was snowless. Sorry, Cheoah, but the Cheoah Snow Slide seems to be missing something important.

Wow that’s some splendid landscape shots!
Hope you get your snow!
It’s been raining the whole day today here in Singapore…
Cheers,
Maxx
We could send you over some snow if you would like!! Not used to having so much snow here in Ireland – schools closed today, Murray delighted and we have lots of time to spend visiting our friends blogs – which is great!
Hope your snow comes soon!
take care

I guess Cheoah has invited the dirt slide. Necessity is the mother of invention.
Bah! It’s never too early to start perfecting your form! Don’t let them rain on your parade or cramp your style, Cheoah!
Hopefully, you won’t have to wait too long for snow. We’ve seen flakes twice in dirtville, this week!
Love the mountain views!
R does the same snow slide! Maybe you could borrow some snow from the ski area!
Pretty photo of the mist.
The pictures that you post here are simply awesome! I’d love to join the herd Mr. Wall…but I know I can’t…so admiring from half-a-world away:)

Glad to hear I’m not the only one wishing for snow. We have yet to have any of real substance and for some reason I am disappointed.

We are supposed to get 6 or more inches of new snow today, so c’mon over, Cheoah, and you can teach me your snowslide and we can do it all day!

Ha Roo!!! Those are some beautiful pictures you have there….you better keep all the snow your way (man made or the real stuff)…you know I’m a dainty great dane and just don’t like the cold white stuff.

I just love it when the fog fills the valleys. Seems as if you are looking at huge lakes. Great photographs.
You need to borrow their snow machine.
Be patient! You will get the snow soon!
Kisses and hugs

I think Cheoah just likes to roll.

Thank you Cheoah that was so cute!! We needed the laugh!
Am I the only one who feels like it’s only been 3 months since we saw it melt off?
Cheoah, is that part of the snow calling ritual? We have been chanting in your direction, “Let it snow! Let it snow!”
I fink you will have know in no time, but you might consider a midnight sneak… to adjust the angle of their blowers!
Just a fought.
