Downtown Waynesville, and the humans are sitting at a sidewalk cafe eating Mojo Pork, black beans and plantains. The rest of The Herd is sound asleep at my paws.

But have no fear, Kiska - guard dog extraordinaire - has everything under control. They better bring a doggie bag.

  1. Bet nobody would dare come near the jeep!
Did you get a doggie bag after all that work?

    Cheers,

  2. I dunno but I’m thinking that may not be a protective pose he’s striking. I suspect he’s saying….”hey you over there with the pork and beans…..we’re hungry!”. But that’s just me.

  3. Kiska, you do look like you’re on duty. Hope you got a tasty reward for all that work!

  4. You are quite the guard dog! You definitely deserve a treat or two!

  6. Excellent guarding!! Mom says she would love to join in on the mojo pork, black beans and plantains! Sounds yummy!

  7. Good girl!!!
Besides, why sleep when there is so much to see in town?

  8. I think they ought to buy you your own Mojo Pork for doing such a spectacular job, Kiska! There’s always the chance that some passerby might offer you something, too, I’m guessing!

  9. Excellent work Kiska….we are sure nothing got tampered with being you were on duty. We think you deserve your own plate of mojo pork (maybe not the bean … hehehehehe) but definetly the meat!!!!!

  10. Mmmmm, pork…I certainly hope they did bring a doggie bag! After all, it’s hard work guarding a car.

  11. Does you mean to tell me the whole herd fits in the Jeep? Wow!

  12. Good job Kiska! Did you plan to lick the face of any intruder (that’s what my dogs would do to a human intruder, I think)? I hope that you got some pork out of the deal!

  13. I’m sure you were rewarded for your guarding duties! Did the rest of the pack give you any breaks??

  17. Just tell any human walking by that according to some scholars of the human persuasion that you are the next best thing to a wolf.

That should help with your guard duty while you have that big smile on your face.

  18. Great guarding, Kiska!!! We sure hope you got a doggie bag. And better still, a really big one to share with the rest of the herd.

  19. Awesome!!! Kiska, you rock!

  20. Great job guarding that jeep! :)

  21. Good work, Kiska!! You deserve lots of treats!

  22. You certainly seem to have everything under control! A doggie bag, a walk of your choice AND a lamb shank are in order, I say!

  23. Everything is safe with Kiska in charge!

  24. Doggie bags are required. Today we got french fries…which are actually a big no no but we love ‘em anyways. Only thing about that pic…I would have been out of the truck and at the cafe faster than you can say “Was that a 3 legged dog?”

  25. I’m glad you have everything under control! Thanks for dropping by tonight! The year went flying by :)
    Have a nice Thursday!

  26. Kiska, I’m very impressed you stayed in the jeep, on duty. I’m sure other (less committed) dogs would have hopped the window for a pork break.

  27. Did they? Did you get paid for your valiant efforts?

    Steve

  28. Kiska!
Sure you did a pawesome guarding job!
And I hope you got that doggie bag!
    Kisses and hugs

  29. Doggy bag indeed!!!!

  30. If I were them I would be eating with you because that sounds delicious!
