Iditarod – The Real Start

Today is the real start for the Iditarod race (yesterday was the ceremonial start, but it does not really count). But as we are preparing for the start of the race, we thought we would share a fun video with you. This song – and video – makes me laugh. Hope you enjoy it.

Great, I am going to go around singing Iditarod all day today, I just know it, that song is going to be stuck here! ahhhh

But it is very neat to see the sibes doing what they are bred to do.

My mom will also have that tune racing through her head today as she’s zooming down and up I81!

We have not seen this before – so much fun. Loved the video and the music. Like Khyra’s Mom, the tune is already stuck in Mom’s head. And those genes – so the roadrunner is to blame for all our running, eh?

Chuckles! And, how did he manage to keep the antlers on that running dog for so long?? “And the bear just wanted to hibernate…” – he said about the bear genes that he’d added. Lots of very funny little lines!

Bwaaaaa ha ha! That was just awesome! I was laughing a lot during that! He forgot to splice in some greyhound genes, that would have helped more than the bear genes! Thanks for the morning laugh!

This just proves what we have been saying. All those sleds going across the frozen North and not one pulled by a reindeer. So much for that ugly rumor that Santas sleigh is pulled by reindeer. The Iditarod is proof that the sleigh is pulled by Reindogs!

That song and video are pretty funny! For some reason it reminds me of the “Canyonero” song from “The Simpsons”!

I’m psyched – coverage gets better by the year, and my aunt is filming footage to send back when the race is over. If your dogs can see TV, this should get interesting in a hurry…
