As we expected, Sunday was really nice around here.  The sun was out for the most part, no rain, and the leaves are really peaking at the 4000′-5000′ altitudes.  But all of that hiking does have an effect on The Herd.

P.S. – Could you do us a huge favor?  Our buddy Captain Maverick (we introduced you just the other day) is in a costume contest and needs your support.  Please click this link and vote for Maverick.  And feel free to add the link – http://www.thedogtrainingsecret.com/blog/maverick-pirate/ – to your own blog and spread the word.  Thanks!

  1. Aww Cheoah’s expression is so cute.

  2. Oh, what beautiful colors. Many more reds than we have here. Your fall colors remind me of my childhood in the east.

I love the battle to keep the eyes open. Long hikes are so good for dog behavior, except that the effect can be short-term, especially in dogs like my R and Rusty (?).

I promise to post about my wildlife camera. I’m about to buy another one to put out on a ‘predator’ trail in our forest so I’m very excited!

  3. Woooos! Lovely hikes! I see you are cooler there than here, it is still in the 90′s… yuck…. We already voted fro the pirate! He is soo cute!

    I’m jealous of your hiking!
