Family Portrait

We thought we were doing such a good job getting everyone to pose and look at the camera.  Everyone seemed to be following me with their eyes:

But then I realized that they did not seem to be looking directly at me.  They seemed to be staring past me.  Mind you, I am used to that, but I was still trying to get their attention.

But now I seemed to be steadily losing control.  Again, a common occurrence.  I could have been the invisible man at this point.

But what could possibly have their attention so diverted.  So I decided to turn and look.

Oh.

Were they ready to pounce and run after that deer?

It’s a BIG dog to go play with! At least that’s what I “think” is going through Juno’s head. I’d have to dunk her in a bucket of cold water to get her to look at me if there’s a deer around. Good thing for her I don’t carry such supplies…maybe a squirt from the water bottle…teee heee … evil mom! Meanwhile, the FMD? He cries like a big baby because he can’t go play with the big dog…

We are amazed that they were all still just standing and hadn’t ripped their ties right out of the ground. The pics are still awesome even if they weren’t interested in you:)

Well, what did you expect? You’re only a human, after all. And they see you every day.

Cool! I agree with Huffle. They see you everyday. You’re not interesting to them.

That’s still a pretty good family picture. Just pretend that the camera was on a tripod and you were standing where they were looking.

I would like to see the last dogs that are on the right, brought up to the nearer last dog, one lined with the dog, the other ahead creating sort of a J shape. They wouldn’t look so much like the red headed step children, separated from the real family. I hope this makes sense. And if it doesn’t maybe I’m not playing with a full deck! lolol

Not a bad line-up for Sibes. Though it does remind me of a a police line-up.

I’ll be impressed if you could get them to sit sibe by sibe.

These are great pics! Mom said I would be doing the same thing, but I would be sitting and watching instead.

That 3rd pic of the herd is really cool – they are all so focused – i agree OP Pack surprised they werent dragging that line with them to get the deer – we chase the deer all the time.

did you ever get there attention after that?

It’s impressive that they were only looking and not barking! And, of course, humans are so boring compared to deer!
