Our friend over at Mountain Musings posted yesterday about a new squirrel threat and I urge all of our furry squirrel hunters to pay very close attention to this. They are now discovering camouflage for winter conditions. Check this out:
This is particularly concerning to The Herd because these are pictured in Brevard, NC, which means they are practically our neighbors. Ok, maybe 50 miles and over a mountain range, but up here – that is a neighbor. But the back story for how white squirrels came to be in Brevard, NC, is far more fascinating. Never seen a white squirrel, never ever. But yesterday we saw a grey squirrel with a rusty-red tail – too bad we didn’t have the flashy beast with us.
