After a few days of rain and wind (got to 43F (6C) with 30 mph (50 kmph) winds yesterday), we are supposed to have a beautiful spring day here (65 F / 18C). Not a cloud in the sky as the sun is rising. Since we are headed out to the trails, thought I would just do some random thoughts this morning.

The problem with running a contest is you have to pick a winner and we really enjoyed all of the entries. But we judged our favorite captions by the ones that made us laugh the most:

We mentioned the turkeys we saw near our house the other day. They – about 8 of them that we have counted so far – have apparently settled into the woods beside the road we walk every afternoon. This is adding a great deal of excitement to that part of the walk, to put it mildly.

We get a report from our website hosting service every month that shows our traffic (another record month in March where every day we had over 260 unique visitors and 2500 hits - thank you) and some interesting tidbits. Despite Brice’s mention of Qannik’s Attack of the Dog Food Bag, that story in the month of March was still a distant second to Frankencouch. Amazing to me that over 2 years later, Frankencouch still attracts so much attention.

We’ve sent a few new readers to the FrankenKhouch story in the past month! After Sammie The Golden ate the glove and had surgery, we were going bakhk and forth on a few things. Her mom mentioned the vet had mentioned a dog destroying a khouch….so we shared yours!
